The Icom IC-SAT100 allows users worldwide to communicate with a group of PTT radios at the touch of a button. To do this, the IC-SAT100 utilizes the Iridium\u00ae satellite network, which covers the Earth, including both poles, providing wide-area global communication anywhere on the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Emergency functions<\/h4>\n

Stay alert and informed with the convenient emergency key function. Pressing and holding the orange key on top of the radio will send an emergency call to other pre-programmed radios. Users can also use the priority interrupt function to broadcast important messages.<\/p>\n

AquaQuake\u2122<\/h4>\n

With an IP67 rating, this radio is waterproof up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes and dustproof. The AquaQuake\u2122 feature ensures the radio stays dry inside. When AquaQuake\u2122 is activated, the radio vibrates, pushing water out of the speaker grille.<\/p>\n

In the use of buildings or vehicles<\/h4>\n

With the optional AH-40 antenna, the IC-SAT100 can be used inside vehicles. Bluetooth\u00ae capability allows for hands-free operation while driving. The BC-247 docking station is required to keep it mounted and powered.<\/p>\n

Interoperable display<\/h4>\n

The speaker microphone features a display and button layout similar to the IC-SAT100M. Easily switch between portable and mobile units. The speaker microphone display also offers multilingual functionality.<\/p>\n
