It has a 7-strand copper inner conductor (which carries the electrical signal), surrounded by an insulating layer typically made of solid low-density polyethylene (PE).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cable consists of an insulating layer surrounded by a protective layer made of copper braid, a combination of bonded aluminum foil and copper braid. The shields form an outer conductor and also provide protection against electromagnetic interference. Finally, the structure is covered with an outermost layer called a jacket, made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
